Hey ya
Hi, I'm Emily. I moved to Netherlands from a small town about six months ago to study fashion design. It's been my dream for as long as I can remember
what do I like to do?
I’m happiest when I’m wandering without a destination. Netherlands is perfect for that. I love getting lost along the canals, discovering a hidden courtyard I’ve never noticed before, or stumbling upon a little vintage shop where I can dig through racks for fabric inspiration. I love sitting at a café with a coffee that I stretch for two hours, just sketching people as they walk by. There’s something magical about the light here in the late afternoon—it makes everything feel soft and possible
what am I looking for? or who...
I think the person I'm looking for is someone who sees the beauty in small things. Someone who understands that creativity doesn't always follow a schedule, and that sometimes the best ideas come at 2 a.m. with a cold cup of tea nearby
I'd love to find someone with a generous spirit—not just with money, but with time, with attention, with kindness. Someone who notices when I'm quiet and knows I just need a little encouragement. Someone who believes in my work even when I'm doubting it myself
My Life ?
I live in a tiny studio It’s just big enough for my bed, my sewing machine, and a small table covered in sketches. I love it here—the light in the morning, the sound of trams, the creativity on every street. But honestly, it’s been harder than I expected. Between tuition and rent, money is incredibly tight. Most weeks, I survive on instant noodles and discounted bread from the market. I often have to choose between buying new fabric for a project or paying for my metro pass
What I don’t love?
Waking up to an alarm...
I also hate crowded supermarkets, awkward small talk at networking events, and the moment my bank account reminds me I still have two weeks until my next freelance payment. Oh, and when someone calls design "just drawing." That one hurts
